UT CENTER ADDS NEW MARKETING SPECIALIST

Director
of UT’s Center of Profitable Agriculture Dan Wheeler
recently announced the addition of Megan Bruch as Marketing
Specialist in the Center. Bruch is a native of Yuma, Colorado,
holds a BS and MS in agricultural economics from Colorado
State and was raised on a family ranch operation.
“Megan’s
interest in marketing and her dedication to agriculture will
serve our Center well” Wheeler said. “She will
be our lead specialist in market analysis and market research
efforts with value-added farm projects.”
“She
hit the road running,” Wheeler said of her first week
on the job and her first week as a Tennessean, “she
participated in a farmer-conference in central Kentucky, traveled
to West Tennessee and to Knoxville.” Bruch will also
provide leadership to the Center’s involvement with
the state’s Agri-Tourism Initiative.
The Center
for Profitable Agriculture is a partnership program between
the UT Ag. Extension Service and the Tennessee Farm Bureau
Federation. The Center is the state’s flagship program
for value-added agriculture. The Center conducts feasability
and marketing analysis for value-added agriculture ideas,
develops educational and training programs across the state
and assists in the evaluation and development of new and innovative
agriculture business ventures.
