Goals
The purposes of this project can be summarized into six
primary goals:
1) Develop
a general guide to marketing for value-added businesses
2) Analyze state business statistics with respect to population
and develop pertinent threshold levels
for market evaluation criteria
3) Document the stages and available resources for direct
marketing value-added meat products
4) Conduct analysis of market access opportunities for small-farm
and value-added products with local
grocery stores
5) Develop a virtual marketing and promotion evaluation resource
for small farmers, value-added entrepreneurs
and direct marketers
6) Develop an all-encompassing outreach program that features
the results and components of the
overall program
