Peg
joined The University of Tennessee in December, 1999, as an
Area Value-Added Agriculture Specialist in the Western District.
In 2002, Peg became programmatically responsible to the Center
for Profitable Agriculture, while maintaining her appointment
in West Tennessee. Although a majority of her duties occur
in the western part of the state, Peg takes on related projects
outside her home district as well. Peg specializes in the
development of value-added, alternative and cooperative agriculture
ventures, serves as the program coordinator for the annual
"Marketplace for Ideas" conference at UT Martin
and assists in the development and facilitation of various
agriculture development projects in the region. Peg is a native
of West Tennessee and holds a BS degree in Animal Science
from UT Martin, MS degree in Animal Science from UT Knoxville
and PhD in Agricultural Education, with academic emphasis
in International Agricultural Development, from Texas A&M.
