Vision, Mission and Objectives

 Vision
  It is envisioned that the Developing Rural Businesses (DRB) program will be a valuable resource to farmers and value-added entrepreneurs in their endeavors to consider and pursue the development of successful private small business enterprises.
   
  Mission
  In pursuit of ultimate rural business development through the support and development of entrepreneurship, the Developing Rural Businesses program will provide technical assistance to small and emerging agribusinesses, identify, assemble and disseminate information on resources that are available to assist, foster and develop value-added small business enterprises and coordinate training opportunities that supplement technical assistance.
   
  Objectives
  Develop two new educational resource publications.
  Conduct group workshops with an attendance goal of 45 entrepreneurs.
  Conduct large group outreach conference with an attendance goal of 80 enterpreneurs.
  Implement one-on-one technical assistance with a goal of 45 entrepreneurs.
  Conduct county educational meetings with an attendance goal of 150 entrepreneurs.
  Develop a Web site.
  Develop radio and newspaper releases on a timely schedule.
